Hi, I’m Rafael Aguilo.

I studied psychology and business at UCLA, where I realized film has a power most disciplines don’t: empathy. That led me to the American Film Institute, and then to two decades of producing commercials, music videos, short films, and opening sequences for feature films.

Along the way, I founded two sporting goods brands, an ad agency, and a research agency. I’ve been the client, the agency, and the researcher, and I bring all three to every set.

That means more than executing the creative. It means knowing where your brand has been and where it’s going, then making something your audience actually feels.
